It has helped me gain hand on skills and self confidence when dealing with patients. I work with amazing co-workers and is a nice way to get your foot in the door.

Get involved as soon as you can. Getting a job that relates to your field of interest not only gives you an introduction into that field, but also gives you ways to network. And definitely Job shadow any job or position you are interested in.

I loved the ability to work in a great team environment and with a employer who cares a lot about their employees. I also loved working with residents who want to have a great time, and providing experiences for them to do so is so rewarding.

I wish the hours I worked we're a bit more flexible. It is a lot to manage along with a full time course load.
Advice
Make sure you are clear about your availability and what you are able to manage. It is easy to over schedule yourself in this position because it is so fun and rewarding. But make sure you are taking care of your other commitments as well.

I like the flexibility of the job, and I feel like I am getting good exposure to the flow of the hospital.

I felt a little rushed into the position, the training was very fast paced and a lot of the job I have had to learn on my own.

I wish that the use of PTO was more flexible, but I am able to navigate my way through work and school

It teaches you a lot, if you are willing to learn. I recommend this for anyone who is interested in getting into the health field. Its a good way to gain some experience, earn some money, and network.
