Restoration Coordinator
The Restoration Coordinator will serve as a key member of CRCL’s Restoration Department and will be poised to strengthen the capacity of the organization’s coastal restoration activities. The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Department’s programs, contributing to strategic development, building support for and implementation of programmatic restoration including CRCL’s Oyster Shell Recycling Program and Native Plants Program. This will include working with a team to design, plan, execute and monitor restoration projects across the Louisiana coast in support of CRCL’s mission.
The Coordinator will be primarily responsible for restoration project logistics and leading fieldwork and 30 to 50 annual volunteer events. The Coordinator will oversee data collection and management, external partner relationship development and coordination, tracking and systems optimization. The Coordinator will support operations at CRCL’s Restoration Headquarters including oversight of oyster shell storage and native plants nursery. Workdays will involve an array of field and office responsibilities, including frequent field days directing and supervising volunteers of varying experience levels in remote locations across coastal Louisiana. This position will require a flexible schedule and some work on weekends as well as occasional overnight travel.
