ASIC/FPGA Engineer
About this Job
IntelliProp Inc, a leader in FPGA/ASIC storage Silicon Design IP and Application Specific Standard Product (ASSP) solutions, is looking for candidates to fill several full time engineering positions within the company.
Tasks will include one or more of the following:
-- Developing Verilog modules for a data storage application optimized for reliability, performance, and power.
-- Interacting directly with new and existing Verilog/System Verilog modules and Silicon IP.
-- Designing and implementing test code for existing ‘C’ or Verilog modules.
-- Designing and implementing reference designs for new and existing Silicon IP Cores.
-- Interacting directly with customers for design integration, operation and bug fixes.
-- Implementing and maintaining Silicon Design IP releases and ensuring release quality.
You should be an exceptional engineer with a background in digital logic design. An ideal candidate is able to see the "big picture", with excellent analytical and presentation skills, a strong record of fast and effective development, and exceptional ability to take the lead in solving problems. You should have a broad knowledge of system and communications principles, coupled with the desire to apply those skills within the framework of solid engineering practice and discipline.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- An understanding of Verilog or SystemVerilog HDL
- Strong debug skills using both basic lab hardware (e.g. Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer) and internal analyzer tools (SignalTap, Chipscope)
- Experience working with at least one major FPGA vendor design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel/Altera Quartus, etc)
- Familiarity of standard FPGA design flow
- Basic experience low level programming (C/C++)
The following skills are beneficial:
- An understanding of Storage Architectures (PCIe, SATA, SAS, NVMe, NAND Flash)
- Experience with Linux-based development environments
- Design simulation using Questa / Modelsim
- Experience building small to medium sized microcontroller based projects and IP integration using Vivado or Quartus tools
- Experience with AXI and AXI Streaming Interfaces
- Experience with hardware / software interface related design issues and debug methodologies
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
