Behavior Therapist

Life Strategies, LLC, an established and growing Behavioral Health Agency and accredited Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Therapist who enjoys working with a wide range of behavioral issues for clients with developmental disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities. Thorough training is provided for this position. The primary responsibilities of this position includes providing behavioral consultation services to clients with developmental disabilities through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver Program in Lake County, Indiana. Services are provided in the client's home, work or day program environment, as well as in-office consultation. This is a full-time, salary position with benefits. Driving to visit clients at their home or day program is a requirement of this position.

- Will complete assessments, observations, and develop Behavior Support Plans
- Is comfortable consulting with and training caregivers or staff on behavior support plans
- Is flexible and easily adapts to new situations
- Is dependable and reliable
- Is professional and positive
- Works well with larger systems and as a team
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
This position is located primarily in Lake County with the home office being on the Schererville/Crown Point border, Indiana.
Qualifications
Applicants MUST have a Master’s Degree in one of the following areas:
  • Social Work
  • Counseling
  • Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or another applied Health Services area of Psychology
  • Special education

  • Pass all background checks required for this position

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
