Unique Virtual Event Management/Hospitality Internship (unpaid)

Easy Event Planning LLC (EEP) realizes that this pandemic has impacted the event management/hotel management/hospitality students most of all, and we have a unique virtual internship that will tremendously help you in your future career.

We have the fastest-growing website in the event industry. EEP is a technology company that is changing the way events are planned across the US. Users can find the services they need (we have the most extensive event directory in the US), use state-of-the-art planning tools and get great ideas from our blog – all in one site. They will soon be able to request tips for their own event at no charge as well. The site is poised to become very high-profile in the coming years.

There are two great opportunities - the first involves virtual event planning and the second involves content writing and digital marketing.

Virtual event planning
Users at our site can submit a quote request for an upcoming event, in which they indicate the types of services they need. This might include a venue, caterer, decorator, limousine, etc. Vendors can purchase that lead to communicate directly with the user. Because our platform is new, many vendors aren't yet aware of our site. Students can research great vendors in an area and reach out to them to see if they're available for the event. They can give the vendors the lead at no charge if they would allow you to create a profile on their behalf. This gives the students great experience in virtual event planning, educates you about all the types of vendors people could need for an event and allows you to even do some networking. You could help a vendor win a contract for an event that saves their business right now.

Content Development and Digital Marketing
You will be learning about and writing articles about a diverse range of event planning topics for inclusion in EEP's blog and guest blog posts on other sites. The internship can position you as a published authority before your career even begins.

Sample blog topics could include:
  • Unique gender reveals ideas
  • Theme party ideas for baby showers, bridal showers, kid's parties, etc
  • Do-it-yourself décor tips for an anniversary party
  • Latest bridal party attire trends
  • Top wedding colors
  • How to track down fellow graduates for a high school reunion
  • How to host a (virtual) team-building event

In the process, you will also learn all about digital marketing, which is critical if you hope to be in business for yourself one day. You could also be a valuable asset to any organization for whom you work, as few people in the hospitality industry have a well-rounded marketing background.

We teach you about content development and marketing, social media marketing, search engine optimization and more. You would be on one of our digital marketing teams and would get to take an entire course taught by our CEO, who has 30 years of experience in event planning and marketing.

This is a 100% virtual (unpaid) internship that offers academic credit, and you have a great deal of flexibility when you work. Communication will take place via Zoom lectures, Skype video, audio, and chat. You can easily do this internship in addition to another internship or job.

You can apply here but also need to complete this form. You can learn more about the company, the hiring process, and our exciting internship program here.
