Title: Events and Marketing Intern
Compensation: Unpaid
Time Requirement: 5 – 20 hours per week, Fall and spring semesters
 
Intern Summary:
Wesselman Woods is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and one of the few urban old-growth forests in the United States. This unique place is looking for students to assist in organizing events that promote our mission and gain new supporters. At Wesselman Woods, we are gearing up to launch our Green Allies Initiative—a program that empowers local organizations by giving them the tools and resources to lessen their environmental footprint. The internship’s primary focus will be assisting the Director of Communications and Engagement in developing compelling and brand-centric copy for both digital and printed collateral, logos, event logistics and more for the Green Allies Initiative that is set to launch in Spring 2021.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a career in marketing, events, communications, or other creative field. Candidate must be energetic, creative, self-motivated, detail oriented, a team player, results-oriented, and dedicated to the achievement of personal and team goals.
Qualifications:
o  Currently enrolled or recently graduated in marketing, communications or other related major
o  Basic design skills are highly desirable (Will be trained in Adobe Spark)
o  Excellent writing skills
o  An eye for composition and passion for creativity
o  Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
