Equipment Engineering Intern

Students a part of our internship program will develop knowledge and skills across their areas of interest while gaining insight into unit operations. What you need for success: 
  • Enrollment in an accredited collegiate program 
  • Maintains a 3.0 GPA or above 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Relevant Experience 
  • Ability to work without sponsorship now or in the future 
 
Who You’ll Work With 
Opportunities in this internship will include:
·      Working with complex, state-of-the-art robotic systems in a fully-automated manufacturing area.
·      Work with engineers (mechanical, electrical, computer) and technicians on new equipment design, construction, testing, installation, and qualification.
·      Design, modeling, and implementation of 3D printed components and assemblies in both rapid-prototyping and production manufacturing environments.
·      Learn hands-on electronic and mechanical troubleshooting on a multitude of manufacturing equipment (PLC controls, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, high- and low-powered electrical circuits, etc).
·      Technical writing for preventive maintenance and repair procedures (including video).
·      Be involved in both large and small engineering projects to help in the areas of efficiency, safety, productivity, design-for-manufacture, etc.
·      Use data gathered to drive decisions, designs, and project plans to implement solutions.
