Overview: Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps in Decatur, Michigan is looking for talented adults to serve in a dual role at camp, both as an athletic activity instructor / coach and cabin counselor. Must be ambitious, hardworking and have a desire to work with children.
Positions Available: Searching for men and women who can teach one of the following: BASKETBALL, BASEBALL, CROSS COUNTRY, FITNESS, FOOTBALL, GOLF, SOCCER, TENNIS, VOLLEYBALL. You will specialize in one of these activities, so it's recommend that you have an extensive knowledge and passion in that area. Coaching experience is preferred. This role is great for aspiring coaches, athletics directors, teachers or any leadership position.
Responsibilities: Our sports staff are responsible for coaching, teaching and mentoring kids in specific areas of activity. You will build out lesson plans and instruct kids ages 8-15. Our goal is to help young kids grow and develop on and off the field. Our sports instructor positions are in a dual role meaning you are also a cabin counselor.
Salary: Competitive salary + travel expense reimbursement based on experience. Room & Board are included.
Dates: June 7th - August 14th
Qualifications: Must have completed at least one year of college/university. Knowledge and experience playing or coaching at the College or High School level. Great experience for an aspiring coach; must love working, leading and mentoring children ages 8-15.
Internships: We will work with your college/university to earn paid internship credits

Located in southwest Michigan, our 2, 4 or 8 week premier camp options attract campers and staff from all over the world. We have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Family Life Magazine, and The Chicago Tribune. Campers have an elective schedule and are able to choose from our 50+ land and water activities. Our 3:1 Camper to Counselor ratio ensures that every child is cared for at the highest level.
