AmeriCorps Education Coordinator | Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing daily service to partner non-profit organizations and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, sharing experience and volunteer opportunities, and site support under the direct supervision and direction of the Program Director and Site Supervisor(s).

Service activities will vary by service site. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide education and career development programs to youth, ages 5 – 18 years

• Implement daily activities including: tutoring, conflict resolution, health and safety, enrichment, clubs…etc.

• Recruit and support additional volunteers at sites to build organizational capacity.

• Attend AmeriCorps sponsored trainings, staff meetings and events.

• Maintain a training percentage of 12-20%

• Ensure the spread of AmeriCorps vision and visibility by wearing AmeriCorps gear during service activities.

• Follow AmeriCorps and assigned site Policies and Procedures.
