Support Development Analyst

Overview of Position
This position is responsible for investigating customer reported issues with a higher concentration on the software code investigation. Following best practices and defined development procedures for identifying code defects causing customer reported issues. Working with the development team to identify and implement changes in code to resolve identified issues.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
  • Work with the Support team to investigate high priority customer issues using access to the customer systems and access to the code base.
  • Assist support in the determination of reproduction steps for reported issues.
  • Identify suspected problem areas within the code base responsible for reported issues.
  • Provide suggested code changes to the development team to address issues identified.
  • Attend development code reviews on a routine basis to stay current on code changes and learn different areas of application.

What are the requirements needed for this position?
  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • 2+ years of experience in Java programming language and SQL
  • 2+ years of experience writing software code according to published standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specifications.

  • Basic aptitude for programming and analytical thinking.

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
General office demands
How much should I expect to travel? 50%
Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
