CLA, a top 10 public accounting and professional services firm is currently hiring a Data Analyst SeniorAssociate to join our growing Digital Transformation practice. This role can sit in our Greenwood Village, CO or Indianapolis, IN offices.
The Data Analyst Senior makes use of the Microsoft Power Platform, or a scripting language like R or Python. The Data Analyst Senior cleans up data for analysis and/or visual display in a report or dashboard, or they work out details regarding data access to support a project. Our Data Analysts favorite tools are the Power Platform (Power Apps/Power BI/Power Automate), Excel, DAX, M, R, and Alteryx. In contrast to an Associate, the Senior will develop more autonomy to develop solutions and may lead others, take on administrative tasks, perform support roles, and get involved in new business development.
Your experience includes:
* 2-5 years of experience in data analytics, public accounting, financial consulting, computer science or related field required
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics or Data Science (e.g.Informatics, Data Science, Health Data Science) required
* Experience* using Microsoft applications including Excel (2016 and Power Query M and DAX languages), Power BI, Power Apps, Alteryx. Experience* using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
*Practical experience beyond education required
As a Senior Associate you will:
- Understand the domain specific nature of data being collected/analyzed and how data may be utilized to satisfy project objectives
- Identify potential data sources that may be useful to harness for analysis
- Identify disparate data sources to harmonize and deliver integrated solutions
- Develop service and industry specific knowledge through greater exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and formal training
- Possess service and industry specific knowledge yielding higher efficiency and productive solutions
- Employ commonly used Key Performance Indices (KPIs) within relevant industries and services
- Experience with tabular data models using Power BI framework
- Create applications/dashboards using Power BI or power apps
- Create applications/dashboards using Shiny, golem, or Dash
- Transform/wrangle data using dplyr, pandas, or other packages/languages
- Understand software development concepts such as modularization, variable scoping, object oriented vs functional programming
- Ability to code in M, DAX, R, and other languages
Compensation strategy statement
Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range. For Colorado, the range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000.
