Job Summary :
The Supply Chain Technical Writer will support and produce high-quality process oriented documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) for the Distribution workforce. With expert communication skills, this role creates written communication that effectively targets the appropriate audience and captures all needed information; process, technical, and site specific.

The Supply Chain Technical Writer will support and produce high-quality process-oriented documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) for the Distribution workforce. With expert communication skills, this role creates written communication that effectively targets the appropriate audience and captures all needed information; process, technical, and site specific

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating standardized technical documentation for all Distribution applications and procedures focused on operational excellence, process flow, and execution
  • Handle complex issues with discretion and good judgement
  • Exercise creative freedom to build and maintain best practices for technical documentation, including tone, format and vocabulary
  • Grasp complex technical systems, systematic components, and learn quickly
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives that impact DC processes
  • Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
  • Act as a project team member/stakeholder, and support effective execution by creating clear and effective documentation
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Operators, project leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure all documentation captures all needed information
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in existing communications and collaborate with business partners to find solutions
  • Provide clear expectations to partners to ensure all documentation is accurate, clear, consistent and appropriate for the audience
  • Maintain the responsibility and authority of standard documentation with appropriate approval on SOPs, work instructions, and training aids
  • Serve as a resource to content providers and the operations team for feedback on language usage, document templates and styles
  • Participate and provide input on standard documentation and change management approval process

Requirements :
Job Qualifications – Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English or related areas, or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
  • Independent decision making without direct supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (with an emphasis on Word Templates, Styles, and Formatting)
  • Ability to work independently and with and team
  • Technical writing
  • Proficient in editing and copyediting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and technical/process accuracy
  • Experience authoring highly technical information as user-friendly documentation for less technical business users
  • Written Communications: Writes clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication formats. Crafts messages that achieve the desired result across diverse audiences and initiatives.
