Company Description: Fair Hills Resort is a family vacation destination and conference center on beautiful Pelican Lake, south of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Owned and operated by the Kaldahl family since 1926, Fair Hills and its other properties offer a unique venue for events and vacations. Open seasonally from May through September, Fair Hills Resort hosts over 50 events each year, 10 weeks of family season vacations and serves hundreds of meals each day. Fair Hills offers opportunities to gain experience in multiple divisions of the hospitality, culinary and golf course industries.
Job Description: The Fair Hills kitchen feeds anywhere from 2-250 daily. There are 3 departments in the kitchen; bakery, salad, and prep. Prep Cook duties include, but are not limited to: meal preparation, cooking, baking, grilling, buffet set-up & running, serving food in the steam line and cleaning. Teamwork is essential to a well run kitchen. Our prep cooks must be able to work well in a team and independently, must be able to practice safe kitchen responsibilities, lift heavy objects, work well under pressure, and be positive & respectful of others. Previous kitchen experience is preferred. Prep Cooks typically work a breakfast/lunch shift daily with a few dinner shifts per week.
Wage & Benefits
- 32-40 hours per week
- Pay starts at $10.08-$15.00 per hour
- Some positions eligible for up to a $1.00 per hour additional bonus
