Safety Co-op – Fall 2021

This job description reflects potential openings for the Fall 2021 Co-op  Session (September–December).This is a general job description and represents multiple openings in various departments. Honda offers both single and multi-semester co-ops. College students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest.

Occupational Health and Safety co-op/intern opportunities typically exist in the following areas, projects may include:

Manufacturing (Plant Safety): Safety compliance (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI regulatory requirements) confined space evaluations, developing a cs inventory, safety auditing, data tracking, safety compliance implementation, arc flash analysis, fall hazard analysis, and hazard mitigation.

What you need to be successful in the role: 
Required: • General coursework 
Desired Skills: • Safety Compliance • Safety related coursework • Manufacturing related coursework
 
Program Requirements: 
Class Status: Sophomore (by credit hour) or above 
Term: Minimum of 10 weeks required at 40 hours per week 
Degree: Candidate must be enrolled in a Bachelor degree program studying Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering or related field.

Location: Marysville, OH (45 minutes northwest of Columbus, OH)
