IT Audit Senior Consultant - Minimal Travel

Joining our Financial Services Consulting practice is an opportunity to help make the world more honest, transparent, safe, and secure. The IT Audit Senior Consultant will be responsible for being a contributing team member on IT General Controls/IT Audit, IT SOX, and IT Risk Consulting engagements. Minimal travel is required for this position, with client work primarily being performed remotely.

Typical IT Consultant responsibilities include:
  • Project execution including overall project planning, IT risk assessments, supervising staff with 1-3 years of experience, executing fieldwork, and reporting
  • Evaluating and testing application and IT general controls across a variety of systems
  • Seeking to further client relationships through quality service delivery and the successful execution of projects
  • Define performance expectations, evaluate the performance of staff IT auditors, provide feedback and participate in training
  • Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
  • Present findings on IT controls to management


Qualifications:
Educational and Professional Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree required. Major in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems is preferred
  • Experience working in the financial services industry
  • 2-5 years of experience in the areas of IT audit, corporate IT Audit, or technology risk consulting
  • Professional Certification or working toward CISA, CPA, CIA or similar

Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Solid experience in planning engagements, managing IT audit projects, supervising personnel and developing audit work programs
  • Understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COSO and COBIT and knowledge of audit methodologies and developing key internal audit deliverables
  • Working experience with IT general controls, IT application controls and key report testing is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships
