Vaccine Clinic Registered Nurse

General Summary: The Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) collaborates with the Director of COVID-19 and Community Outreach and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and actively supports continuous improvement in safety, quality, and customer service. The RN will work to address the needs of the COVID-19 vaccine clinics – including but not limited to assure best practices for vaccine administration and storage and handling; maintain inventory of vaccine, clinical materials, and supplies; and ensure the vaccine clinics are well-equipped to operate. The RN will assure that vaccines are administered in accordance to guidelines, will keep up with the latest guidelines and recommendations, and ensure that all infection control measures are monitored and observed, as well as enforce infection control safeguards, techniques, and procedures. The RN will also provide direct patient care, including coordinating screening and developing interventions for patients identified as having complex chronic care needs. The RN assess patient health concerns and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintain patient records in accordance with Patient Centered Medical Home model of care.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for monitoring and enforcing infection control measures, safeguards, and procedures and for ensuring sites are in observance of these measures, safeguards, and procedures when/in administering COVID-19 vaccines.
2. Responsible for monitoring and keeping-up with the latest guidelines, techniques, and clinical recommendations and for communicating this information and relevant updates to leadership, vaccinators, site managers, and all relevant parties.
3. Responsible for ensuring all sites are administering vaccines in accordance to the latest guidelines, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer.
4. Responsible for ensuring that all sites are properly reporting site incidents to the Director of Quality and Practice Transformation, and necessary reporting to the VAERS.
5. Logs, tracks, and maintains inventory of COVID-19 vaccine supply, as an organization and per site, and reports data to the Director of COVID-19 and Community Outreach.
6. Logs, tracks, orders, and maintains inventory of site and clinical materials and supplies, and printed material necessary to operate all sites and safely administer vaccines.
7. Assists with competency activities for locum tenens, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants to ensure appropriate level of clinical skills and knowledge.
8. Oversees the LISC/Uber Vaccine Access Fund, Uber Health Portal, and all relevant coordination and reporting efforts.
9. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care, with attention to population based measures.
10. Participates in the preparation and launch of future vaccine locations and sites, indoor and outdoor. 
11. Assists with coordination efforts of relevant COVID-19 programs
10. Other relevant matters that coordinate vaccine efforts across all sites.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a college or university
2. Two or more years working in a clinical setting and with Latino population
3. Fluency in Spanish
4. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
5. Prior experience with electronic health records

Professional Credentials:
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
2. Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois
3. Basic Life Support Certification, unless a doctor's release is provided, in which case, yearly proficiency must be demonstrated through oral and written testing
4. Proficient oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior experience working in an outpatient setting
