SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for an experienced Software Application Developer/Programmer to join our team and provide support in an integrated contractor-government team developing and testing real-time weapons systems. This work may span the spectrum of web pages to detailed M&S.
Responsibilities: Gain an understanding of the various applications that are used in the current program, identify areas to improve performance and capabilities, then design, develop, and test the enhancements. For new applications, will need to work with stakeholders to establish application requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Six (6) years of professional experience providing technical support in software requirement analysis, and designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software and database models
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- An ideal candidate will have experience with FORTRAN, C, C++, Java, PERL, Oracle, Structured Query Language (SQL), CMS2, Pascal, and Pro*C hosted on both Unix/Linux and Microsoft systems
- Additionally, experience in an Agile development environment. Experience with Solaris, SGML, XML, HTML, Korn scripting and VxWorks is a bonus
Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
Minimum Clearance: Secret
