New Grad StaRN Residency Program
  • Full Time Positions Available in Asheville, NC
  • Multiple Med/Surg and Behavioral Health Units Available
  • Emergency Department Available
  • Start dates available in July, August, and September

  • Mission Health’s StaRN Residency Program for New Graduates, including the StaRN program, provides professional development for those who are transitioning from the classroom to their first professional role as a nurse. This program offers you a smooth transition into practice while you begin your career at Mission Health.
  • We provide new graduate RNs with the support they need to become strong members of the Mission Health interdisciplinary team. Graduates of the program emerge as competent, well-rounded and confident nurses.
 
Role Summary: Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.
 
Required Education: Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position.
 
Preferred Education: BSN
 
Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider
 
Preferred License/Certifications: RN
