Elementary School Teachers at Independent Schools

Many of CS&A's client schools embrace missions that aim to cultivate academic success and foster a nurturing, supportive environment for all students from very young ages. Elementary school teachers in independent schools are encouraged to stay up-to-date on the latest child brain and development research and to utilize 21st century teaching methods to engage and instruct elementary-aged children.

Candidates who have spent time with children — from student teaching jobs, leading camps, or co-teaching, among other activities — are particularly attractive to independent schools. Elementary school teaching candidates should be nurturing, understanding individuals who want to help each individual child find and develop his or her strengths.
