Senior Algorithm Engineer

Job Mission

In the software research and development (R&D) team, you will be a key member to develop high quality software and contribute to all phases of the development process from designing to release. You will be responsible for independently developing and testing the algorithms and turn general requirement definitions into functioning modules. A good candidate should exhibit strategic thinking, be self-motivated and collaborative with team members.

Job Description

As a senior software engineer focusing on mask and optical simulations, you will develop features and functionalities based on the industry trend and the customers’ requirements for the modeling engine used widely in other lithographic applications. You are expected to have a semiconductor physics, optics, electrical engineering, or related background, along with programming skills in C/C++ and Python. You are responsible for software design, software performance improvement, and code maintenance. You will work closely with product engineer and software quality assurance teams.

Education

PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related areas. PhD degree is preferred.

Experience

·Three or more years of experience in physics modeling and scientific simulation (industry or academic)
·Three or more years of experience in C/C++, Python, and/or other object-oriented software development
·Solid understanding in data structures and algorithms
·Experience in optical imaging and signal processing
·Familiar with SQL, UNIX/Linux environment, and scripting languages
·Experience in developing and debugging multi-threaded/parallel applications is a plus
·Experience in image processing, computational geometry, large data application, and high performance computing is a good plus
·Knowledge in semiconductor lithography and integrated circuit design is a good plus

Context of the position

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings.
