Finance Analyst - Merchandising

The Merchandising Analyst supports the Merchandising Team by assuring electronic minimum resale pricing for all HON products that are sold online. This position will work across categories in merchandising to set the online assortment, pricing strategy, and ultimately drive trade partner enforcement through a variety of channels and trade partners.
Some of the essential aspects of the position include:
  • Establishes EMRP active SKU assortment and collaborates with PriceSpider to make changes to database online.
  • Maintains database to track EMRP violations by trade partner and SKU and summarizes for leadership weekly.
  • Reviews, escalates, and enforces corrective actions with trade partners by working with field sales members.
  • Evaluates financial exposure for each trade partner violation through HON and trade partner’s perspectives.
  • Generates summary for accounting on quarterly basis of program dollars withheld due to trade partner violations.
  • Creates EMRP training materials and coordinates training with variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides category manager price adjustment support and assists in reviewing SKU accuracy in catalogs.
  • Supports category managers with the development of business cases and market research.
  • Creates / organizes financial reports on an ongoing basis; makes clear recommendations from analysis completed.
What it takes:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Business or related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to handle difficult conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with changing priorities and meet deadlines with quality output.
  •  Strong attention to detail – Able to execute flawlessly under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability, strong organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and with all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, and prior Oracle experience preferred.
  • Possess keen financial acumen preferred – Able to justify results with excel-based analysis.
  • Ability to use reporting software for data analysis preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written/verbal communication and presentation skills preferred.
  • Understanding of HON products and offerings preferred.
  • Understanding the HON customers and distribution channels preferred.
