2022 Summer Intern, myQ Front End

Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and passionate about developing digital experiences. This co-op will provide the opportunity to gain experience in the development of elements of websites and mobile experiences. 
  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from a variety of individuals including VP’s, Director’s, Lead Software Architect’s, and our Web & Mobile Developers 
  • This opportunity will enable exposure to the following types of languages and platforms: C#, Objective-C, Swift, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android, iOS
  • Develop elements for web, mobile, and similar digital projects
  • Assist in implementing layout and functionality specs
  • Assist Development team in completing projects on time
  • Participate in the brainstorming of user experience (UI/UX) and web and mobile development solutions
  • Contribute to multi-screen development including implementation of mobile-responsive design
  • Research of digital development trends and functionality solutions
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
  • Rising Senior standing towards a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, or computer science strongly preferred
  • Must be committed to the duration of the Fall Co-Op Program Semester (September to December 2021)
  • Must possess an unrestricted right to work in the United States
  • Must be local during the Fall season as 3 days are required to be in the Oak Brook office
  • GPA minimum: 3.5 on a 4.0 point scale
Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in software testing and/or programming in Java/ C#/ Java Script
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Effective communication skills

  • Intern or co-op experience
  • Track record of academic excellence, leadership on campus, and starting portfolio
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient with MS Office tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and to rapidly learn and adapt to new business processes, technologies, and environments
  • Self-driven, organized, goal-oriented individual with a positive attitude 
  • Functional knowledge of Version Control Systems (GIT)
  • Awareness of the latest development trends and ability to adapt these trends into web and mobile functionality
