Associate Athletic Director for External Relations

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking an
Associate Athletic Director for External Relations
Intercollegiate Athletics
 
The Associate AD for External Relations is responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight of all aspects of the external communications and branding for Omaha Athletics and its 16 intercollegiate athletic programs. The Associate AD for External Relations will be the brand manager of the athletic department as it relates to digital, print, electronic, and verbal communications with donors, alumni, fans, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the athletic department. The Associate AD for External Relations will be responsible for the performance and results of the communications, marketing, and video departments. This position needs to identify key performance metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of the team and be willing to change course when certain strategies are no longer effective. This position requires the ability to think BIG, to develop relationships with local media members and other community influencers, to be comfortable challenging the status quo, finding new opportunities to grow the brand and to help share the Omaha Athletic story. This position will work with campus constituents/partners to help leverage University and Athletic assets in helping to build a robust and forward-thinking external relations team. 
 
Required Qualifications:
·        Required Education: Bachelors Degree
·        Required Experience: Experience in public relations, communications, marketing, or related field.
