Analytics Specialist
Data Trust, a center-right political data firm, seeks an Analytics Specialist to develop and oversee processes designed for data modeling and analysis. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work with proprietary first-party data to gain novel insights on voter behavior. The ideal candidate will have robust experience designing models using industry standard predictive analytics techniques. You will work closely with our internal teams to understand complex challenges brought to us by stakeholders to provide thoughtful and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional analysis and create processes for cleansing and transforming complex, high-volume data
- Design and implement predictive models using the appropriate machine learning algorithms including, but not limited to logistic regression, linear regression, decision trees, and Naïve Bayes
- Write and maintain documentation on ETL processes and analytical design
- Participate in project planning meetings to address project parameters
- Work with the BI team to generate visualizations to illustrate insights gleaned from performing statistical analysis
- Evaluate the quality of current data sources, models, and other product assets while identifying gaps in the data, new sources, and opportunities for innovation
Desired Skills and Experience
- B.S. in statistics, applied math, data analytics, or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL as well as Python and/or R
- Developing ETL processes and performing dimensional analysis on high-volume, unstructured data
- Demonstrating extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques and concepts
- Building, maintaining, and training predictive models and applying them to solve complex problems
- Ability to clearly communicate and present methodology, results, and insights of analysis
