Seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer with 8+ years of experience and knowledge in developing network security solutions. The individual will possess a strong understanding of network security technology and be able to identify network security related issues.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Establish standards and design patterns for network security solutions.

• Work with network engineering teams to guide deployment of networks and solutions to meet corporate security standards.

• Evaluate new security solutions for security benefit and fit with existing security and infrastructure.

• Develop initial policy and rule sets to mitigate risks per corporate standards.

• Establish role and responsibility matrices and work with teams to transition technologies to operations.

 

Qualifications

 

• Strong understanding of network segmentation concepts and controls.

• Firewall experience with Palo Alto and Cisco.

• Experience with VMWare NSX DFW.

• Experience with Cisco switches and routers.

• Working knowledge of switch ACLs, VRFs, and VDCs.

• Background in security and risk management.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust Security Model.

• Familiarity with NAC tools such as Forescout.

• Familiarity with Cloud concepts and providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.

Strong organizational, analytical and customer service skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into digestible diagrams and presentations
