The Seton RN Residency has demonstrated superior quality and is separated from other RN residencies by having been successfully reviewed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and awarded Accreditation with Distinction, the highest recognition awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Accreditation Program.
What is the Seton RN Residency?
The Seton RN Residency is a robust, evidence-based residency designed for new graduate nurses to reach the following goals:
- Successfully bridge the academic preparation to clinical practice gap
- Become a confident and competent professional nurse.
- Achieve the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for safe, quality care.

What will you do?
As an Associate with Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- You will do all of this while contributing to mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement: Service to the poor - Support the cause of those who lack resources for a reasonable quality of life. What will you need?
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing .
Education:
- Diploma
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed
