Design Engineer

Job description

Qualitex is seeking an experienced and reliable Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design accurate and functional Gages and Fixtures for the Automotive, Medical, Agricultural, Aerospace and Marine industries. To succeed in this position, you will need to be thorough and hardworking, demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, be creative in thinking of design concepts and follow instructions and systems accurately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create designs based on customer specific requests/requirements

• Collaborate with other engineers, managers, and customers on projects

• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for design

• Get customer approvals on designs for manufacturing

• Prepare documentation, such as product drawings, BOM's, CAD and instructions

• Organize plans and design load schedule • Review and oversee manufacturing of designs
