Postdoctoral scholar

Summary:

This position is responsible for carrying out independent experiments to understand at the molecular and cellular level dysfunction in blood disorders and to develop novel and alternative strategies to improve hematopoietic stem cell function in cancer and aging condition. The position is also responsible for the mouse colony maintenance and other bench work at the molecular and cellular levels. 

Functions:

  • Contribute to the research activities of the lab by planning and coordinating research activities.
  • Supervise technical staff including students and volunteers in the Lab.
  • Communicate results at appropriate meeting.
  • Maintain appropriate animal colonies for research.

Education:

PhD with 0 -2 years of scientific experience in biology, stem cell or hematology field.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience working with mice, including drug injections and tissue harvesting.
  • Expertise in multi-color flow cytometry analysis is preferred.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of molecular biology techniques (PCR, library construction, and sequencing).
