IT Specialist (SYSADMIN)

This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level of GS-12 . Closer supervision and technical guidance and/or on-the-job training are provided. Duties are gradually broadened so the incumbent is eventually performing all of the duties of the full performance level, position description number 3F0790.

The incumbent is an information technology (IT) specialist who serves as the focal point of contact, providing direction and support to one or more hearings operation offices, in the use of information technology (IT) equipment, hardware and software, and telecommunications devices with responsibility for oversight, management and maintenance of IT systems in a multi-operating system environment and as liaison with vendor representatives. The incumbent provides direction and support in the planning, coordinating, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software related to OHO programs and services, including networks, workstations, testing and implementation of systems initiatives and subsequent releases, all related hardware and software considerations, and systems security.
