Geotechnical Staff Professional, December 2023 Graduates

Position: Geotechnical Staff Engineer/Professional II

We are currently seeking a full-time Geotechnical Staff Engineer/Professional II to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

 

Job Snapshot:

Working, learning and developing under the supervision of a licensed engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordination of field explorations, collecting of soil samples, and preparing boring logs
  • Observation of geotechnical construction activities such as general grading, shallow and deep foundation work, subsurface investigations such as logging boreholes
  • Perform engineering calculations and design
  • Preparation of proposals and technical reports
  • Provide project and client support by interacting professionally and effectively on project updates

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience
  • Basic working knowledge of construction plans and specifications
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, with the ability to learn commercial software applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and possess the ability to work as a team player
  • Overnight, out-of-town travel and the ability to work outside normal business hours
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Routine lifting: 40 to 50 lbs.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Engineering Intern certification
