Marketing Coordinator

Carlow University is hiring a Marketing Coordinator to participate in our university’s marketing and communications strategies. Your main responsibilities include working within our project management system, collaboration with university key stakeholders, project priority management, conducting market research, producing promotional materials, and analyzing sales data. 

Our ideal candidate can develop priority processes and interpret customers’ behavior, suggest creative ways to increase brand awareness (internally and externally). If you have excellent communication skills and a passion for marketing strategies, we want to meet you. Working with external agency partners or experience a plus. 

Ultimately, you will ensure our university’s marketing efforts help us achieve our immediate and long-term business goals. 

Responsibilities 

  • Conduct research to analyze customers’ behavior (e.g., purchasing habits, trends and preferences) for both our internal and external audiences.
  • Sit on the design strategy team and implement successful internal and external marketing campaigns.
  • Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities.
  • Work and assist implement strategies/tactics that differentiate us from our competitors.
  • Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing the data provided into a concise manager for our cabinet and key stakeholders (multiple audiences).
  • Collaborate with design to produce promotional materials for our internal audience.
  • Craft clear product marketing copy in partnership with our writer.
  • Organize promotional activities for new products/services.
  • Prepare monthly invoices and budgeting.


Requirements and skills 

  • Proven work experience as a Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Officer or similar role.
  • Proven project management experience within Basecamp; Adobe Workfront, etc.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools.
  • Experience with research methods using data analytics software.
  • Expertise with SEO/SEM campaigns.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, web analytics and Google AdWords.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management System software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in launching or bringing a new brand to market.
  • BS degree in Marketing/Communications or relevant field
