Political Grassroots Development- Field Team Intern

Position Overview: The Political Field Staff Intern will play a crucial role in representing the Eric Doden for Indiana campaign at various community and Republican events. You will be responsible for engaging with constituents, conducting canvassing operations, collecting ballot access signatures, making phone calls, performing data entry tasks, and providing essential clerical support to the campaign team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in political campaigning and grassroots organizing.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Representation:

  • Attend community and Republican events to represent the campaign.
  • Engage with attendees, answer questions, and effectively communicate the campaign's message.

Canvassing:

  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing operations to identify and mobilize supporters.
  • Distribute campaign materials and collect valuable voter feedback.

Ballot Access Signature Collection:

  • Coordinate and execute signature collection efforts to ensure compliance with ballot access requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to signature collection.

Phone Outreach:

  • Conduct phone calls to potential supporters, donors, and voters to promote the campaign's message.
  • Provide information, address inquiries, and maintain detailed call logs.

Data Entry and Management:

  • Enter and maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter information in the campaign database.
  • Assist in data analysis and reporting as needed.

Clerical Support:

  • Assist with general administrative tasks including filing, copying, and organizing campaign materials.
  • Provide support to the campaign team as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in politics, community engagement, and Republican values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
  • Previous experience in political campaigning, community organizing, or related fields is a plus.
