Summer Camp Nursing Assistant

The dates run from June 11th to August 8th, 2024. The salary range is $2900 to $3900 for the summer season. All food, lodging, and laundry is covered; and all travel expenses are reimbursed.  

Camp Caribou is a boys overnight summer camp located in Winslow, Maine. We offer instruction in a wide variety of arts and sports to boys aged 7-15.

We are currently seeking nursing students for the upcoming summer to assist our health department.  

Responsibilities: 

Our nursing students would be assigned to an age group or group of camper cabins and work in conjunction with our Registered Nurses for that age group to proactively monitor the wellness and wellbeing of their camper group. 

1. Noticing their primary disposition by getting to know each child individually so that you know when something might be “off” with them.

2. Monitoring coughs, pink eyes, rashes or other health concerns and bringing those to the attention of the nursing team. 

3.Driving campers for medical appointments. 

4. Cleaning and inventory of the health center and medical spaces.
