Photography Intern

Are you passionate about photography and eager to gain hands-on experience in the field? We are currently seeking a creative and talented individual to join our intern team. Seminole Sports is the premier provider of youth baseball and softball events.

You will gain hands-on experience in a professional on-site setting. The student selected will collaborate with a talented intern social media team.  You will learn and develop skills in all stages of photo production. Day-to-day responsibilities will be to participate in identifying our customer niche and creating an interest in our brand and merchandise. The team’s goal will be to create brand awareness, drive our website e-store and convert visitors into paying customers.

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university
  • Enrolled or have a strong interest in photography
  • Strong academic record with a cumulative overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Proficiency in photography equipment, such as cameras, lighting, and audio systems
  • Proficiency with Photoshop or another graphic creation software

Requirements

  • Experience with video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in photography and digital media
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce
  • Must enroll in our 30-hour photographic course.
  • This will provide you an accessible opportunity to enter the sports pictures and poster business. 
  • With this experience you can start your own business.
  • A portfolio or samples of previous photography work would be a plus

Particulars:

  • The program starts in May and runs through the end of July
  • Over this period you will be expected to work at least 200 hours
  • Shooting highlights Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday & editing on Monday
  • You will gain insight into a youth sports organization’s culture, its value to young athletes and benefits to the community
  • This is a real work experience for you which will provide meaningful assistance to our Seminole Sports
  • We provide you a mentor that offers regular feedback to you
  • You will establish a network of other interns and professionals that can help you make well-informed decisions about your career and connect you with career opportunities
  • This experience will provide you with a portfolio of work that you can submit to your university for college credit

Pay periods are the 1st and 15th of each month. End of year bonuses will be paid based on merit.
