Chicago New Arrivals Mission VISTA-Mayor's Office

The VISTA member housed at the Chicago Mayor's office will collaborate with the non-profit Chicago Cares to promote volunteerism and civic engagement. The member will manage volunteer engagement and capacity building, diversifying service opportunities. The VISTA member will coordinate with civic partners for New Arrivals building necessary infrastructure, develop a recruitment, retention, and recognition strategies with the city of Chicago and partners. 

VISTA members earn a living stipend, education award, health benefits, relocation (if eligible), non-competitive eligibility for government jobs as well as professional development and hands-on experience.
