Associate - Financial Technology - Selby Jennings

A high frequency proprietary trading firm founded in the 1990s is seeking a Financial Technology Associate to join their team. The firm is looking for someone hands on who understands change management implementation. This candidate would be local to the Charleston area working to enhance and automate Finance, Operations, and HR platforms with previous experience working with Oracle Cloud.

Job Title: Associate - Financial Technology

Work Model: 4x a week in office based in Charleston, SC

**if not local, must relocate**

Comp: 90k-130k base + bonus | TC 110k-150k

Summary: A high frequency proprietary trading firm founded in the 1990s is seeking a Financial Technology Associate to join their team. The firm is looking for someone hands on who understands change management implementation. This candidate would be local to the Charleston area working to enhance and automate Finance, Operations, and HR platforms with previous experience working with Oracle Cloud.

Requirenments:

  • 2+ years working in a fast paced environment, including diagnosing and resolving production issues working for a global team
  • 2+ years of experience working as a system implementer or administrator for Oracle Cloud applications (Oracle Cloud Fusion Financials, FCCS, and PBCS)
  • Database experience working with SQL (ie. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience working on integrations projects is a plus
  • Exposure to higher level object oriented programming languages such as Python is a plus
  • Systems Architecture, Business Requirements Gathering, and Design experience is a plus
  • Workday, Oracle HCM, or other HRIS experience is a plus
  • Finance/accounting background or degree
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Building the next-generation of Finance and HR technology platforms at Tower
  • Partnering with Finance, HR, support and developers across multiple regions for a global org
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues/ bugs/ outages on production systems
  • Developing Documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, and Training Materials for new and legacy systems and processes
  • Supervising day to day operations of Tower finance technology infrastructure, including:
    • Fusion Core Financials + Procurement
    • Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service
    • Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service
    • Tower proprietary systems, databases, and middleware
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Occasionally acting as project manager for systems integrations and implementations
