Health Officer

Must be 20+ years of age. We prefer to have students who are working towards a nursing or pediatric health focused career. The Health Officer is responsible for maintaining the health and safety of campers, participants and staff and role modeling HCRR (Hick-er), honest, caring, respect and responsibility. This position will assist the Camp Nurse(s) with check-in of medications, perform health checks and manage the distribution of medications while campers are on-site. Health Officers will do many pediatric assessments each day related to injury and illness. The Health Officer will also maintain medical kits, taking inventory as well as associated paperwork and reports. Health Officers are responsible for providing care on a 24 hour basis while campers are on site. Must live on-site during the program sessions. Certifications required prior to start date - Responding to Emergencies or Approved Equivalent Certification. Health care experience is preferred.
