Civil Engineer Entry Level - Surface Transportation

CIVIL ENGINEER ENTRY LEVEL

Multi-State Location:  Florida, Illinois, Missouri & Ohio

 

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named a “Zweig Group’s “Best Firms to Work For.” is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals is actively seeking to add a 0–4-year entry-level Civil Engineer to our Surface Transportation Team.  This role will support all levels of staff while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Support various clients
  • Work on conventional, unique, and complex projects
  • Involvement in roadway/highway geometric design, storm drainage, transportation planning, traffic engineering, corridor studies, and safety studies.
  • Collaborate with teams of varying sizes across multiple offices depending on the size and scope of the project
  • Manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects
  • Work in a fast-paced learning environment
  • Take the initiative to interact with team members located in other CMT offices

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • 0-4 years of Civil Engineering or internship experience is preferred
  • Registered Engineer Intern that has passed the FE exam or is taking steps to become a certified Engineer Intern
  • Knowledge of and experience using MicroStation, Geopak, AutoCAD, Civil3D software packages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Coursework/experience with an emphasis on roadway/highway geometric design, drainage, transportation planning, traffic engineering/corridor studies
  • Ability to travel for field assessments/projects 
  • Possession of a current and valid driver’s license
