Operations Career Field - Cyber - Palace Acquire

General Information: The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) Operations Career Field is looking for a highly motivated recent college graduate, full-time graduating senior, or person completing their graduate degree with a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree with an emphasis in Cyber Security and/or Cyber Operations. The full-time in-person position will start in Jun 2024. The position is located at Eglin Air Force Base, FL (Florida Panhandle / 3-miles Southwest of Vaiparaiso, FL). 

PAQs may be eligible for permanent change of station pay, 100% Tuition Assistance, up to $30,000 student loan repayment, a recruitment incentive, and/or relocation incentive. PAQs earn paid annual leave, sick leave, 11 Federal holidays, and can participate in health, vision, dental, and life insurance plans. 

Position Purpose: The PAQ program takes highly qualified persons and places them in a two-year or three-year developmental programs offering a breadth of real-world experiences along with yearly promotions. PAQ's work alongside Department of the Air Force civilians and military as part of the Total Force to execute the mission in support of the National Military Strategy. The specific duties and responsibilities are unique to the location of the position and can be discussed with the hiring manager during an interview. PAQ's hired will begin at the GS-07 (undergraduate degree) or GS-09 (graduate degree) pay grades with the actual pay based on the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) locality pay table. 

Entitlements:  PAQs will work full-time and complete formal training according to an Individual Training Plan (IDP). PAQs can earn yearly grade promotions up to the GS-11 grade.  2024 Example Pay: (Okaloosa County, FL locality area)

Year 1: GS-07 Step 1  / $49,025  
Year 2: GS-09 Step 1 / $59,966
Year 3: GS-11 Step / $72,553
 

Qualifications & Requirements : A U.S. citizen / Recent/graduating student (June, 2022 - Dec, 2023), with a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree (emphasis in Cyber Ops and/or Cyber Security) .  In good academic standing with a GPA greater than or equal to 2.95 on a 4.0 scale Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (Air Force funded)
