Civil Engineer Intern

Location: Multi-State 

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named a “Zweig Group’s “Best Firms to Work For.” is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals is actively seeking to add a Civil Engineering Intern to all four of our Engineering Groups.   This position will have hands on experience with real engineering projects, visit active projects in the field, and be exposed to many facets of civil engineering, while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide support and assistance on various engineering projects
  • Preparing infrastructure and design plans, with the help of project engineers and project managers
  • Occasional attendance at client meetings

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • In pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field
  • Strong technical skills to include experience with Microsoft Office with exposure to computer-aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with access to transportation
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in the field, as needed
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is appreciated, but not required
