Digital Designer II

The Communications Team is looking for a creative multi-disciplinary content creator to help create eye-catching digital and print content. In this role, the Digital Designer II will collaborate closely with other team members, under the guidance of the Associate Communications Director, and represent the Communications Team by fostering and stewarding relationships with various ministry areas. The environment is often fluid, and projects are time-sensitive, so the ideal candidate can prioritize assignments, multi-task, work with minimal supervision, function under tight deadlines, and is comfortable working alone or as a team.

 

Position Details:

• Year-round, full-time position, exempt

• Avg. 40-45 hours per week (sometimes more during peak season, January-April)

• Starting compensation: $45,000

• Non-profit organization located in Bonita Springs

• Christian work environment Required Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Detail-oriented and organized

• Creative thinker and problem solver Self-starter and highly productive

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable working alone and as a team

• MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook)

• Demonstrated proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.

• Trustworthy - background check & drug testing required

 

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in photography and photo editing Basic understanding of core design principles (typography, layout, etc.)

• Experience with production copier/printers preferred; will train on specific machines

• Bachelor's Degree in related field (Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, etc.) or at least two years of comparable work experience

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in reinforcing creative branding for First Presbyterian Church

• Conceptualize, design, and produce a wide range of specialized graphics for events, projects, and other FPC initiatives

• Create and produce high-quality digital and print deliverables, taking branding for ministries and events and creating the assets needed

• Build templates and graphical elements that provide ministry teams with evergreen assets which improve ministry led initiatives and event promotion

• Design branded print peripherals such as signs, banners, shirts, etc.

• Frequent rendering of print materials, including flyers, brochures, tickets, etc.

• Facilitate printing of promotional materials in house or coordinate outside printing projects with other vendors

• Collaborate with team members on timely content delivery for the digital content calendar schedule

• Create eye catching graphics and engaging designs for all social media platforms and websites

• Assist with creative collateral and editing photos for the purpose of digital advertisements and external marketing needs

• Proofread all work thoroughly and submit to the Associate Director and/or point-person of each project for final approval

• Work collaboratively with team members on other projects as needed

• Other duties as assigned
