QC Intern

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Quality Control/Lab Intern in the Central Florida region. This hourly position will report directly to the Quality Control Manager, working 40 hours during the Summer.

Position Responsibilities

• Become familiar with Titan America cement and aggregates
• Become familiar with employees/customers in your assigned territory
• Assist with performing physical tests according to ASTM standards
• Assist with collecting all material samples necessary to ensure quality control
• Assist in processing data from chemical and physical analyses to generate reports
• Assist with testing various materials and auditing lab equipment

Required Experience

• The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
• Excellent communication skills; equally strong motivational, persuasion, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Enthusiastic and positive outlook for influencing decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable at and around construction sites.
• Comfortable in an industrial environment, obtaining samples in all weather conditions, heavy lifting, and standing for extended period of time
• Have knowledge of elements, oxides, and raw materials
