PACKER LABORER -CDL
Salary: $16.81 Hourly
Description
- Cuts grass and perform other grounds keeping functions
- Performs custodial duties
- Operates small equipment (blower, chainsaw, power tools & hand tools)
- Operates pickup trucks, garbage packer trucks, and dump trucks
- Operates snow removal equipment & machinery
- Rides on back of packer and loads junk/trash by hand and tips garbage
- Rides on back of packer and loads junk/trash by hand and tips garbage / waste
- Loads junk and trash, white goods, tree limbs, bagged leaves, dirt, etc. from streets, alleys and vacant lots/structures by hand into packers
- Operates rear-end loader compacting levels
- Operates rear-end loader compacting levels
- Cuts up and trims downed trees and limbs
- Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of packers
- Assists driver in vehicle maneuvering and operations
- Assists driver / operator in vehicle maneuvering and operations
- Performs related work
- Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
- Spends prolonged periods of time sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and climbing
- Lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds in a team setting
- Spends prolonged periods of time exposed to the elements
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent
- Must pass a post offer pre-employment physical examination
- Must be dexterous
