In April 2020, Merck announced plans to consolidate our New Jersey campuses into a single New Jersey headquarters location in Rahway, NJ by 2023. Therefore, this role will be temporarily based in a different NJ location and exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.
Job Description
The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
Position Description
The summer intern position is tailored to support our Company’s oncology product portfolio. The intern will gain experience with Oncology real world data generation and development of advanced real-world analysis methods to support health economic modeling, and reimbursement/health technology assessment requirements. Those seeking a career in epidemiology, health economics, quantitative sciences and outcomes research are strongly encouraged to apply.
Minimum Education Requirement:
Candidates must be currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in outcomes research, epidemiology, economics, pharmacy, medicine, health policy, or public health.
Required Education & Experience:
Candidates must have completed at least their 1st year of study by June of 2024.
Candidates must be available to work full-time for 10 - 12 weeks beginning in May or June of 2024
Candidates must have quantitative research and analytics experience, and knowledge of statistical techniques
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Candidates with an understanding of value and affordability discussions among the US and Global Healthcare Systems are preferred
Candidates with experience and/or interest in health economics and outcomes research are preferred
Candidates with scientific writing and/or manuscript authorship experience are preferred
Candidates with research experience and/or interest in oncology are preferred
Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00
