Research Intern in Behavioral Science and Well-Being

Internship Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated intern to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of behavioral science and well-being. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in projects that involve behavioral science, behavior change, and neuro-cognitive testing. As a research intern, you will work closely with our experienced team to apply psychological theories and research methods to address real-world challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Behavioral Science Research: Contribute to ongoing research projects that explore various aspects of behavioral science, including but not limited to decision-making, social dynamics, and behavior change.
  • Well-Being Studies: Assist in the design, implementation, and analysis of studies focused on well-being, with a keen interest in understanding the factors that contribute to a positive and fulfilling life.
  • Neuro-Cognitive Testing: Engage in neuro-cognitive testing protocols, helping to collect and analyze data to enhance our understanding of cognitive processes and their impact on behavior.
  • Literature Review: Stay abreast of the latest developments in behavioral science, behavior change, and well-being research, conducting literature reviews to inform and enrich ongoing projects.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, participating in team meetings, discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to contribute to a vibrant and intellectually stimulating research environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in behavioral science, behavior change, and well-being research.
  • Familiarity with research methods, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

 

About the Organization

Through innovative and diverse methods, we apply contemporary psychological theory and behavioural science to issues of wellbeing, health, social inclusion, cognition and behaviour change. We undertake research and consultancy work with a variety of funders and clients. On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
