Social Studies Teacher

We are seeking a full time innovative Social Studies teacher to join our team for the 24-25 school year. Notre Dame Preparatory School is a Catholic, college prep, co-ed, IB school, grades JK-12, located in Pontiac, MI. At Notre Dame, we provide a dynamic learning environment for our students, encouraging them to become lifelong learners who are thoughtful people of faith and integrity.

Credentials:

State of Michigan teaching certificate with Secondary Social Studies (RX) endorsement. 

Three years teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

Teaching Social Studies courses for grades 9-12.

Create and deliver lesson plans that focus on the students critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills, while providing an engaging learning environment. 

Provide prompt and regular feedback to students based on assessments and in-class activities.

Keep an open line of communication with parents and school administration.

Complete additional training and professional development as required.
