Mechanical Engineer Intern

SUMMARY: Assist and help with the design and implement of cost-effective equipment and processes to help improve safety, reliability, and plant throughput

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Investigate, discuss, and solve complex problems by interacting with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, customers, and suppliers
2. Help further company culture of implementing innovative processes and continually improving existing processes
3. Utilize research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design (AutoCAD & SolidWorks)
4. Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques
5. Maintain and oversee detail of all engineering prints (specifically, two dimensional building layouts in AutoCAD)
6. Assist in equipment repair to aid in diagnosis and problem solving
7. Oversee design, construction, and operation of new equipment installations
8. Compose procedures for new operations

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2. Excellent presentation skills
3. Excellent written and verbal skills
4. Effective problem solving skills
5. Ability to work with those of all levels
6. Self starter with strong motivation and ambition
