Enterprise Performance Analyst Associate

Fellowship Program Position: This Fellowship Program position is a full-time, temporary, limited term assignment not to exceed three years from the date of hire. It is intended for individuals that have graduated with a bachelor's degree or a master's degree from an accredited college or university within the last 12 months.

The Enterprise Performance Analyst Associate is responsible for assisting with analyzing data and business processes for the development and implementation of automated solutions that support business process improvement, performance management, strategic planning, and enterprise risk management across the agency. This position will proactively work with the Enterprise Risk, Strategy, and Performance Team, members of TRS leadership and executive team, and agency employees.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Performance Management and Process Improvement
•Collaborates with executive leadership and business units to develop, implement, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that improve workload oversight, enhance performance management, and provide business insight into processes and inefficiencies.
•Identifies, organizes and cleans data sets to allow for efficient integration, analysis, and visualization development.
•Works closely with business units to understand business processes and management practices to design reports and dashboards that meet their needs.
•Assists in facilitating conversations and cross-functional discussions to generate ideas for solutions that simplify or enhance business processes.
•Utilizes online resources to independently research and identify solutions when developing Power BI dashboards.

Strategic Planning
•Assists with the strategic planning process when needed.
•Assists with leading TRS in developing enterprise strategy and cascading it throughout the organization.
•Assists management with developing strategies, tactics and related Key Performance Indicators when needed.
•Promotes strategic planning across TRS.
•Compiles and analyzes data to improve strategic decision making.
•Assists management with aligning processes, resources-planning and departmental goals with overall strategy.
•Assists with the agency’s biennial strategic planning process and provides assistance with coordination and development of the TRS strategic plan.

Enterprise Risk Management
•Assists with the coordination and implementation of ERM program activities and maturity project recommendations, to include observing, participating, facilitating, and assisting with enterprise and business risk assessments.
•Assists with detailed risk assessments throughout the agency, provides centralized risk oversight and reviews and analyzes business processes pertaining to risk and controls.
•Assists in the development and implementation of processes for business units to assess and manage business risks, integrate risk analysis with strategic planning, and identify and escalate emerging risks.
•Assists in the development and maintenance of ERM program documents, reports, software and related correspondence.
Fellowship Curriculum
•Participates in trainings and projects related to the TRS Fellowship Program including webinars, quarterly check-ins, classes or other learning activities, book group, projects, and the mentoring program.
•Meets TRS Fellowship Program deadlines and goals for completion of trainings in deliverables in a timely manner.
•Performs related work as assigned.


 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING:

Required Education
•Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration or a closely related field awarded within the last 12 months.

Required Experience
•None.

Required Registration, Certification, or Licensure
•None.

Preferred Qualifications
•Experience developing reports in Microsoft Power Bi.
•Experience using Microsoft Office software.
•Training in business process improvement principles and tools.
•Experience working with Microsoft Power Automate.
•Experience with a strategic planning framework (Ex: Balanced Scorecard, McKinsey's Strategic Horizons).
•Strategic Planning or Enterprise Risk Management experience.
•Project Management experience.

•Utilizing a computer in a Windows environment with word processing, spreadsheet, and other business software to prepare routine correspondence, spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and reports.
