Junior High Teacher

Brockton is a small community of approximately 250 people located in northeast Montana and on the east end of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Indian Reservation. The Class C school district consists of one K-12 building and has an enrollment of roughly 150 students, 98% of whom are Native American. 

We are looking to hire a full-time Junior High teacher to instruct 7th & 8th grade ELA and History courses for the 2024-2025 school year.  The position will work under the guidance of the building Principal and Assistant Principal and be responsible for the instruction and supervision of Junior High School students (other duties as assigned). Class size ranges between 8-15 students. With base compensation set at $43,717, we offer a very competitive salary schedule. Credit on the salary schedule will be given up to ten (10) years of contracted teaching experience. Benefits include health, vision and dental insurance. The District pays a large portion of monthly premiums (i.e. single, two party, two party participant with children, and family). An HSA and HRA is also provided to cover most of the insurance deductible. Finally, we offer a onetime $1,000 moving stipend for those relocating to our community from outside the general region.

Applicants must have, or be able to obtain, a valid and active Montana Teaching Certificate with a K-8 Elementary Teacher endorsement or similar endorsement.
