Undergraduate Research Assistant

This position is only available to Merrimack College students. 

Prof. Amanda Cremone-Caira of the Department of Psychology is currently hiring one undergraduate research assistant to work on an on-going research study in the BRAiN Lab. This position is for Summer 2024 only. 

Undergraduate research assistants will be involved in all aspects of the research process including IRB development, participant recruitment and scheduling, data collection, entry, and analysis, and dissemination of research findings in written and oral formats. Unique training opportunities offered through this position include (i) prospects of collecting data in local schools to facilitate experiential, community-based learning and scientific outreach, (ii) training in the application and analysis of EEG, and (iii) opportunities for independent projects stemming from a growing dataset. This position is well-suited for students interested in acquiring research experience and/or preparing for graduate training in psychology, education, neuroscience, or related fields.

The applicant should have (i) completed a Research Methods course (e.g., PSY1100W), (ii) experience and interest in working with preschool-aged children (2-5 years of age), and (iii) availability to work consistent hours during the week and occasional hours over the weekend (10 hours/week total). A reliable car and clean driving record is preferred by not required.
